As members of the body of Christ and because of God's unconditional love, Zion seeks to nurture all peoples through worship and community and to walk with others in their journey through the realities of life.

Zion Lutheran Church is a member church of the Sask Synod ELCIC of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC), member of the Lutheran World Federation, the Canadian Council of Churches, and the World Council of Churches

Zion Lutheran Church is a unique congregation, proud of its strong Christian community roots and excited about its ability to spread God's love in the community for generations to come.

Zion Lutheran Church has the opportunity to be a courageous church, to lead the Christian community in the Battlefords. In 2002, this congregation defined a "courageous church"as one that:

• Embraces change, though it is difficult
• Is willing to let go
• Finds ways to share each ones' lives with others
• Recognizes the importance of good communication
